Laughter Yoga is a process that allows people to laugh even if they do not feel like it. Since our brain cannot distinguish between simulated laughter and spontaneous laughter, the same benefits are experienced, even if the laughter if acted out.
Research has shown that laughter can improve mood, reduce stress, enhance mental functioning and relieve tension. The intake of oxygen-rich air while laughing can stimulate your heart and lungs and release endorphins. The Safe Work Australia 2024 Snapshot found that there has been a 36.9% increase in mental health workers’ compensation claims since 2017-2018, and the cost is much greater than other claims.

In a Laughter Yoga session your team will be guided through a range of laughter activities that combine a range of movements with a playful imagination and the deep breathing of yoga. The session will conclude with a guided relaxation to return attendees to a peaceful state of balance. The ongoing impact of participating with your team will be enhanced interpersonal relationships and social connections.
A Laughter Yoga session is suitable for every person, every size group, and can be delivered indoors or outdoors.
NOTE: yoga mats and exercise clothing are not required for this activity
